Terms of Use
This is a translation of the Portuguese original. If there is any difference between versions, the Portuguese version prevails.
These terms govern the use of mapamentaldevida (mapamentaldevida.com.br), run by Mizael Cardozo. Please read them carefully: by creating an account or using the site, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance
You accept these terms by ticking the acceptance box when signing up or by signing in with Google, X or Facebook. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
2. The service
mapamentaldevida is a personal tool to record and organize dreams, projects and goals on a mind map, with a dream board, a progress dashboard, money tracking, attachments and summary import. It is an organization tool: it does not provide financial, legal, medical, psychological or any other professional advice.
3. Beta version
The site is in beta and is free during this period. This means that:
- features may change, be added or be removed;
- the site may have bugs or be unavailable for short periods;
- after 7 days of use, you will answer a short mandatory survey about your experience, which is part of taking part in the beta;
- if the site offers paid plans in the future, you will be notified in advance and may choose whether to continue.
We recommend downloading a backup of your map regularly during the beta.
4. Account and access
- To use the site you must be 18 or older, or be between 13 and 17 with the authorization and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
- Sign-up information must be truthful.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done in your account. Let us know if you suspect misuse.
- Each account is personal and non-transferable.
- To protect storage for everyone, photos are automatically reduced before upload, videos are limited to 20 MB each and each account has up to 200 MB of files.
5. Personal address
Each account gets an address in the format mapamentaldevida.com.br/user/yourusername. A username is granted to whoever registers it first, provided it is available and not a reserved name. We may refuse or withdraw a username that impersonates another person, company or brand, is offensive or violates third-party rights; in that case, you can choose another one and your map will not be lost.
6. Your content
Everything you write and upload remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and display that content to you while your account exists. You declare that you have the right to use the photos, videos and documents you upload.
7. Permitted use
You agree not to:
- upload content that is illegal, violates third-party rights (including copyright and image rights) or contains viruses or malicious code;
- try to access other people's accounts, maps or data;
- overload, probe for vulnerabilities or interfere with the operation of the site;
- create accounts in bulk, automatically or to resell usernames;
- use the site for illegal activities.
8. Intellectual property
The mapamentaldevida name, logo, design, site texts and software belong to the site owner. You may use them only to use the service. The photos on the home page are by Unsplash authors, credited in the footer.
9. AI features
The ready-made prompt to generate a summary is used by you in the AI of your choice, under that service's terms. The optional “Organize with AI” button uses an artificial intelligence service to turn your text into points on the map. AI results may contain errors: always review what is created before confirming.
10. Limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is”, especially during the beta. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for decisions made based on your map, for losses caused by temporary failures, for unavailability of infrastructure providers or for content you deleted yourself. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under Brazilian law (Consumer Defense Code).
11. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by clicking your name inside the map and then “Delete my account”. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, notifying you by email whenever possible. The beta may also end; in that case, you will be notified at least 30 days in advance so you can download your backup.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Important changes will be announced by email or on the site before they take effect. Continuing to use the site after that means you agree to the new version.
13. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of Brasília, Federal District, Brazil, are chosen as the venue, without prejudice to the consumer's right to file suit in their place of residence where the law grants it.
